OLDHAM GREYHOUND STADIUM

The greyhound track in the Lancashire town of Oldham was situated at 2° 4' W 53° 33' N. It was run as an independent flapping track and first opened its doors to racing on 9th June 1933. It was situated between Ripponden Road and Broadbent Road and had a tight racing circuit with circumference of just 350 yards. It ran sprints over 240 yards, Standard races over 417 yards, distance races over 585 yards and extended races over 767 yards.
